Diamonds in the Community were formed in 2019 by six friends who were all members of the Airdrieonians Supporters Trust who decided they wanted to take the community work they had been doing together with the Trust to the next level, so they formed ‘Diamonds in the Community’. And this is where the charity name came from, as they were all fans of Airdrie Football Club who are nicknamed the ‘Diamonds’.
